Every kid is unique, but every kid’s birthday party? Well… usually not so unique. Let’s be honest, it’s tough to create something super unexpected and different year after year. That said, it’s a whole lot easier to incorporate a few unique details into an otherwise easy (but always fun) party. We recommend going for what kids will really enjoy – like a party at FLIPnOUT. Aside from that awesome venue, you can change things up with any of these super awesome ideas:
Paint-by-Number Birthday Card
Want to create something your child will always remember? Print a paint-by-number birthday image or card on poster board, then ask your kid’s guests to help paint in the numbers. At the end, your child will have a fun birthday poster care of their friends. Just be prepared to hang it on your child’s wall!
Not a cake person? There’s no law that says your candles have to be surrounded by yellow cake. Take your kid’s favorite treat (donuts are a killer choice), and arrange them to look like a tiered cake. After stacking, drizzle chocolate or caramel glaze on the “cake” and then douse it with sprinkles. Of course, candles are still a must.
DIY Goodie Bags
Let the kiddos in on the Goodie Bag fun – and save yourself some major time! Bring bags of candy and small, inexpensive toys (think stickers, crayons, action figures), and cute gift bags. Then, let each child fill his own bag before the party ends. Each kiddo gets what he/she wants, and you don’t have to play bag stuffer. Genius!
Make it a Game
Sure, party games are fun, but what if the whole experience was a game? Take kids to FLIPnOUT, and then give them a list of items they need to fulfil to win a prize. For example, tell them they have to get to a certain level on a video game, or do a specific trick on a trampoline. Keep kids active – and having fun – for hours!
