Like you’ve already heard, there ain’t no party like a FLIPnOUT party. But if your birthday bash or other celebration requires a bit more than jump-jump-jumping around (and what does?), we’re happy to offer a few ideas for party games that are a hit every time – regardless of whether your party is at FLIPnOUT or somewhere not quite as fun (translation: anywhere else).
Wrap a gift in up to 10 layers of wrapping paper, then start up some party music and instruct children to pass the gift until the music stops. Between each layer of wrapping paper should be a message giving away a small prize, or instructing the recipient to do something silly, like hop on one foot or recite a rhyme with a mouthful of marshmallows. The player to unwrap the last layer of paper wins the gift!
A great indoor or outdoor game, egg-celent balance is fun for any age. Mark a starting and finish line about 20 yards apart. Then give each participant a spoon and an egg (hard-boiled if playing indoors). Have children race to the finish line, but warn them that dropping the egg means disqualification.
This game can be played in teams or as individuals. Give all children large and mini marshmallows and a combination of toothpicks and wood dowels. Then instruct them to create a sculpture. Participants can vote on the best one (not including themselves) or have the birthday child determine the winner.
