Hello Las Vegas! How is it not sweating to death? Great, right? For the next couple months we’re going to have some pretty good weather ahead of us. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last forever. And since we’re in the business of fun, we’ve got some recommendations of fun places to go in Las Vegas that are way more fun before the heat of summer is upon us.
The Downtown Container Park
Things have been on the up for downtown Las Vegas ever since Tony Shea set his eyes on the place. The streets are cleaning up and business is a’booming. The Downtown Container Park is no different. Clean, new, and booming. It’s full of awesome restaurants and cool little shops (no chains) that are housed in recycled shipping containers. Like, from massive cargo ships. All these places surround a Tarzan-like playground where kids (and adventurous adults) can run around and have fun. Most of The Container Park is outdoor, so I imagine it can get pretty toasty in the summer. This place is a mustvisit, so might as well go before it’s 120 degrees outside.
Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix
This place is classic. Similar to FLIPnOUT, it’s got arcades and games of all sorts, but they also have a couple smaller roller coasters. My favorite part is the race tracks outside. There are cars for both younger and older kids. So much fun! Great place to take the kids on a weekend.
Not a business like the other recommendations, but definitely a place you want to get to while the weather is nice. People travel from all over the world to see the amazing rocks formations and colors, and these things are pretty much right in our backyard. Kids these days just don’t get outside enough, so load up the car and plan a family hike! They’ll have a blast.
